Whipped Charcoal Bath Soap

I’ve been making our own bath soap since the early 90’s. It cleared up any skin issues we had. My husband won’t use store brand soap anymore. It almost makes lovely Christmas or birthday gifts!

Charcoal is excellent for absorbing impurities. it gently fights acne, redness from acne, removes oil from skin, & reduces fine lines & wrinkles. It is suitable for all skin types.

Grapeseed oil is antimicrobial so it will help acne breakouts, is an anti-inflammatory, & has antioxidant properties. It will moisturize and soften your skin.

If you are using the soap for acne, I’d recommend using it for 3 weeks to see improvement.

Let’s get started!

I ordered my ingredients from Nature’s Garden. This is the whipped soap base. These are the fragrance oils. You can also buy the whipped soap base from Hobby Lobby; it works well also. I buy it in a pinch, too.

For this recipe you will need:

16 oz whipped soap

3 tbsp. fragrance oil

1 tbsp. grape seed oil

1/4 tsp activated charcoal

2 tbsp. distilled water

3- 8 oz containers

You may need a kitchen scale for this if you are using a big tub of whipped soap.

Place whipped soap base, water, fragrance oil, grapeseed oil, charcoal base in the mixing bowl & mix until all ingredients are mixed together. Fill your containers with soap. This will make 2.5 8-ounce containers. It has a shelf life of a year. (In my recipe I used Cherry Crumb Pie fragrance.)
